چکیده

Model Driven Engineering based on the European Smart Grid Architecture Model (SGAM) has proven to be a bestpractice approach in realizing complex Smart Grid projects. In this paper, an extension of this approach towards Smart City Systems is proposed. It is argued that with the complexity of the involved domains, each application domain should be represented in an individual Application Domain Cube (ADC), similar in structure to the SGAM, but with dimensions applicable to the domain. A mechanism is added to address interrelations between application domains in Smart Cities. The proposed approach is illustrated by an example covering different domains.

Engineering Smart Grids: Applying Model-Driven Development from Use Case Design to Deployment

The rollout of smart grid solutions has already started and new methods are deployed to the power systems of today. However, complexity is still increasing as focus is moving from a single system, to a system of systems perspective. The results are increasing engineering efforts and escalating costs. For this reason, new and automated engineering methods are necessary. This paper addresses thes...

Forecasting Ozone Density in Tehran Air Using a Smart Data-Driven Approach

Introduction: As a metropolitan area in Iran, Tehran is exposed to damage from air pollution due to its large population and pollutants from various sources. Accordingly, research on damage induced by air pollution in this city seems necessary. The main purpose of this study was to forecast ozone in the city of Tehran. Considering the hazards of ozone (O3) gas on human health and the environmen...

Model-Driven Engineering of Simulations for Smart Roads

Smart Roads (SRs) are systems that provide trafficrelated services, based on a combination of sensor and actuator networks deployed in roads, vehicles, and surrounding elements. They are complex distributed systems that involve multiple heterogeneous components and technologies. This makes their development a challenging and costly process. Simulations are a key tool to deal with these issues, ...

Smart City Reference Model: Interconnectivity for On-Demand User to Service Authentication

The Internet of Things and Services (IoTS) has encouraged the development of service provisioning systems in respect to Smart City topics. Most of them are operated as heterogeneous systems which limits end customers’ access and contradicts with IoTS principles. In this paper, we discuss and develop a reference model of an interconnected service marketplace ecosystem. The prototypical implement...
